Dr Cherie Strikwerda-Brown is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 14 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience. She completed her Masters of Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne, a PhD at the University of Sydney, and a postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University, Canada. She is a Board Approved Supervisor and has previously worked as a Senior Lecturer in the neuropsychology training program at the University of Western Australia.
Cherie has extensive experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments across inpatient and outpatient settings, including for neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., dementia), stroke, traumatic and acquired brain injury, epilepsy, substance use, developmental, and psychiatric conditions. She provides assessments for a range of purposes, including diagnostic clarification, decision-making capacity, treatment planning, eligibility for services, and medico-legal matters.
She has a particular interest in neurodegenerative disorders and has published 28 peer-reviewed papers and delivered over 40 national and international presentations in this area.
Cherie takes a warm, person-centred approach, tailoring assessments to each client’s needs and preferences.
