Simren is a registered Clinical Psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Psychology (with honours) and Master of Clinical Psychology at Curtin University. She has experience working in the public sector and addressing complex and pervasive mental health needs. Her clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attachment disruptions and trauma, relational challenges, and grief and loss. She is trained in schema therapy, mentalisation-based therapy (MBT), family therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT).
Simren is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment in a warm, curious, and authentic manner. She understands that therapy is not easy, and it can rouse internal experiences that are difficult to self-contain. She aspires to provide an inclusive and non-judgemental environment for all her clients to safely access and embrace repressed or unwanted parts of the self. Simren is available to work with children, adolescents, and adults on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
