A neuropsychological assessment is conducted to understand the relationship between the brain and a person’s cognitive abilities, including the emotional and behavioural effects of a wide range of conditions.

A Neuropsychologist specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders associated with a range of conditions affecting the brain, including:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
  • Cognitive difficulties
  • Learning difficulties and longstanding developmental difficulties

  • Acquired brain injury such as: Traumatic brain injury (TBI)

  • Neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Frontal Temporal Dementia, Vascular Dementia
